"... It has been several years since I’ve seen you, but I visit your website periodically looking for advice or a link to my
childhood.  I married a wonderful man a couple of years ago and my life has changed in ways I only hoped for.  We had a
new baby (her name is Xavie) so Andrey decided that he would stay home with her and Ethan, until I could quit my job.  
He has been home schooling them since...  

Our lives are somewhat unconventional and people do not understand us. We don’t feed our kids sugar or other junk
foods,(to which an assortment of people comment on how we deprive them)... I think of your family so often because I
think your lives were “unconventional”. Your family was like a happy mystery, you seemed to have peace and love and
answers.

While I don’t have all the answers, we are happy, we have made our lives uncomplicated, no running from soccer to
swimming to etc.. no boxed dinners from the microwave, we are home with our kids, we have time to really see them,
and hear them and just be with them. We don’t have a lot of money, but it’s amazing how little one really needs. We
turned our back yard into a garden with fruit trees and vegetables and memories and we have peace at home. I want
you to know that you made a difference to me and I love you for it."

Dear Jeannine,

I can’t tell you how much our conversation of 2 years ago has helped me, nor how grateful I am to have found that copy
of HYGIEIA as a teenager so long ago. I wrote to thank you after our daughter was born ten years ago, called you for
guidance two years ago after a late abortion, and now I thank you again for showing the way , how to clear my heart to
accept this boy who’s meant to be with us ~ his birth was harder than expected. Totally posterior and through the
delivery only when I had been pushing for 2 hours did I really get the courage to PUSH and there he was, and
unbelievable – his presence is so RIGHT. I am so complete, problems of the past are easier to let go of, think gently of, and
forgive others & myself. I am so awed by this wonderful presence~ practically, too, as he is already 14 lbs!! I feel I am filling
him up with love and he is fattening before our eyes.

So I want to share this joy with you and thank you for being the midwife of this happiness. I do think of you quite often and
the impact you and your work have had on my life, especially with a baby in the house, which inspires greater attention
to health in all its forms; I think I was very lucky to find you and your books when I did. Interestingly right around the same
time I found, equally by chance, the work of Ina May Gaskin and Diane Di Prima, both of whom have also been very
important to me since I was a teenager.  I am truly grateful and hope we will meet "in person" one day. Thank you for all
you do.
